New grants approved by the European Youth Foundation for 11 pilot activities (1st February deadline)

The Programming Committee on Youth took decisions on the applications received by the European Youth Foundation for pilot activity grants at the deadline of 1 February 2025. Following this decision, grants were awarded to 11 pilot activities in 9 member states for a total of €156 648. Out of the approved initiatives, eight were proposed by first time applicant youth organisations.

The funded projects address various topics linked to the 2025 Focus themes, such as promotion of human rights education, civic engagement and democratic participation of young people in local communities; empowering youth with disabilities in advocating for their rights; empowering Roma youth through human rights education, especially education against discrimination; peacebuilding, promotion of intercultural dialogue and conflict resolution.

The list of approved projects is available here.

A pilot activity addresses a contextual societal challenge affecting young people at local level. It is also based on innovation or on replication and must have a strong European dimension. The initiatives must be proposed by a youth organisation and bring a contribution to the Council of Europe priorities in the field of youth.

For more information about the criteria for pilot activities, as well as the 2025 Focus themes, please check the PA webpage.

The next deadline for pilot activity grants is 15 May 2025.
