Youth workers and teachers from all regions of Ukraine are invited to participate in “National Training Course on Human Rights Education: Compass in Formal and Non-formal Education”.
Donetsk Youth Debate Centre (Kyiv, Ukraine) in partnership with Centre for Educational Initiatives (Lviv, Ukraine) with the support of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe (Strasbourg, France) and European Wergeland Centre (Oslo, Norway) together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is organising the Compass National Training Course on Human Rights Education in Ukraine. The project of the Council of Europe “Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase III” provides an expert support for this activity.
The development of civic competences, human rights education and education for democratic citizenship are priorities for education and youth policy in Ukraine. Establishing cooperation and mutual training of specialists working in the field of formal and non-formal education will allow achieving better educational results and providing better support to young people.
The training course is designed for participants who are:
- aged over 18 years old;
- able to work in Ukrainian;
- living and working in Ukraine;
- youth workers or teachers from all regions of Ukraine;
- motivated to apply Compass in their activities;
- interested in providing human rights education, developing civic competences and establishing cooperation between the spheres of formal and non-formal education.

The Compass Training Courses are strategic national activities for the development of competences of key multipliers for human rights education with young people and the implementation of the Council of Europe Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education.
These activities are the integrated part of the Human Rights Education Youth Programme that included in the Council of Europe Youth for Democracy programme and play a central role in the 2030 Strategy of the youth sector.
