Legal reasoning and legal drafting of criminal judgements is the focus of the training organised for judges and judicial assistants in Mostar, from 12-13 March 2020. In focus are requirements under European Convention on Human Rights and relevant findings of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Examples of direct application of the European Convention on Human Rights were discussed and analysed.

In the centre of the discussion is a concern how to ensure equal treatment of citizens in similar factual and legal situations as currently no adequate mechanism or tools exist.

The training is organised in cooperation with the Judicial and Prosecutorial Training Centres of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska (JPTCs) under the project: “Initiative for Legal Certainty and Efficient Judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina” funded by the Kingdom of Norway.
