Promoting equality and non-discrimination in the Eastern Partnership region
The Anti-Discrimination Cooperation Unit implements five country-specific and one regional project under the framework of “Partnership for Good Governance” (PGG), a joint initiative of the European Union and the Council of Europe for strengthening good governance in the Eastern Partnership region (2023-2026).
All projects aim to build and strengthen the capacities of the state authorities, law enforcement professionals and civil society representatives to harmonize the domestic legal and institutional frameworks, but also the respective practice with the European and international standards in the field of combating discrimination, hate speech and hate crime. Likewise, projects aim at communicating on diversity and equality to the society at large.
