During the GEW the Informationsstelle Bildungsauftrag Nord-Süd mainly informs a broad public in the field of development politics and Global Education including states actors, schools and, civil society stakeholders about the action week, the Global Education Network and the NSC. Hereby, it uses its own network and a wide range of media (website, electronic mailings, social media, print). As every year in April the campaign website (www.globaleducationweek.de) was installed to inform visitors about the motto and to offer a platform to participating organizations. The motto in Germany was “Making digital learning fair worldwide“ In June and September, emails were sent to 5001 stakeholders, schools and ministries to make them participate. The printed September newsletter (edition of 6800 Ex.) included a short text on GEW 21 as well as and the action postcard. Among others this newsletter was sent to 800 One World stores Germany-wide.

Several other activities were organised at the secondary level, including the creation of posters by Media Literacy students. Activities held in primary schools include a musical puppet show, essay writing, role plays, drawing, and presentations by students on the various traditions and cultures which make us unique.

The most important aspect was to connect young people to global education topics as: gender, climate change, volunteerism and sustainability through real life stories and trends in Turkey. Intercultural dialogue in the infodemic era: critical thinking against disinformation.

Living together in a globalised world requires an open intercultural dialogue. However, as recent events have shown, information can be manipulated so that it can deepen prejudice and hinder mutual understanding. Knowing how arguments are built and how they can be refuted is essential for increasing resistance to disinformation and misinformation.
This workshop will provide a first encounter with argumentation and logic reasoning that promote critical thinking. The event will gather members of the Global Education Network that will have hands-on experience on how to identify and unmount fake information, online and offline.
International conference on Global Citizenship Education and Education for Citizenship and International Solidarity (GCE / ECIS)

The event aims to share practices and thinking on Education for Global and Solidarity Citizenship, and is organised in the continuity of the Quebec-France-Maghreb-Africa exchange time organised on August 26, 2021 as part of the Summer University of Social Movements (in France).
This conference, initiated by the international committee of the Festival of Solidarities (Festisol) and moderated by the AQOCI (Quebec Association of International Cooperation Organizations), will last two hours, will allow 5 to 7 people to present, in French, the approaches of GCE / ECIS implemented in their country, and will be followed by a discussion time.

Learning to navigate the internet and using the tools it offers to discern between reliable and unreliable information is essential for countering disinformation, misinformation and hate speech and minimizing its impact on intercultural dialogue.
This workshop aims at providing an introduction into lateral reading - a strategy for investigating who's behind an unfamiliar online source - as a tool to efficiently recognize disinformation.
