Aurélie Plaçais is an expert on issues relating to the abolition of the death penalty worldwide. She is the director of the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty. She has more than 15 years' experience of international advocacy, particularly in relation to the United Nations human rights mechanisms. She is passionate about collective action and coordinates the development of common strategies to end this cruel and inhuman punishment.
