The quarterly activity reports (April to July 2024) of the ICC national networks in Italy (Rete Città del Dialogo), Portugal (Rede Portuguesa Cidades Interculturais), and Ukraine (Ukrainian Network of Intercultural Cities) are now on-line.
The Italian network supported cities in increasing participation. Examples of such work include supporting the participative definition of local anti-discrimination plans, strengthening prevention and anti-discrimination services and engaging youth at different levels (local and European). To implement its actions, the network relied on activities from different projects, some including other ICC members.
In Portugal, the network continued its work to foster Intercultural competencies in cities and increase participation with the closing of two EU projects. It coincided with the launch of the network’s annual project on education aimed to raise awareness on inclusion and interculturality in schools as well as develop strong cooperation with local and national actors.
Ukrainian members and the network focused on developing and implementing projects designed to help cities address their immediate needs within the intercultural framework and lay the foundations for long-term recovery. The network encouraged its members to seek creative expression and economic opportunities and strengthen the resilience and solidarity within their communities.
